Bend Like Bamboo

Build Resilience That Bends, Not Breaks

About Me

I’m Amanda Campbell—CEO Resilience Coach, Sports Kinesiologist, Author and keynote speaker. For 12 years, I’ve helped executives and individuals with chronic health conditions transform their relationship with stress and build sustainable resilience through The Bend Like Bamboo Method.

I work with two distinct groups: successful CEOs experiencing burnout despite their achievements (THRIVE Program), and women navigating autoimmune conditions and chronic symptoms (HEAL Program).

My programs combine coaching and kinesiology to address the nervous system patterns driving stress and symptoms, helping clients reconnect with clarity, energy, and sustainable performance.

🌿 WHAT I HELP YOU SOLVE

For Executives (THRIVE): Shift from making decisions from stress to leading with clarity, authentic presence, and flexible resilience.

For Individuals (HEAL): Move from managing symptoms to addressing root causes, rebuilding energy, and reclaiming life beyond chronic limitations.

🌿 WHAT SETS ME APART

My work integrates kinesiology with nervous system regulation to address stress patterns stored in the body. This somatic approach works at the level where stress is actually held—creating transformation that lasts.

As a CEO, Kinesiologist, and patient, I understand both leading under pressure and healing from chronic illness from lived experience.

At 29, I faced complete paralysis from MS while running my company. Through nervous system regulation and evidence-based foundations, I not only walked again—I’m now 16 years in remission and running a thriving practice.

After recovering from paralysis, Amanda Campbell noticed a pattern among burned-out leaders: they’d tried every strategy, yet their bodies still wouldn’t let them rest. This post explains why burnout isn’t a mindset problem, but a somatic one—and how the THRIVE program was designed to rebuild resilience by addressing the nervous system, stored stress, and the physical realities of digital overload, not just productivity habits.
Many high performers implement digital boundaries perfectly, yet still feel anxious, restless, and unable to truly disconnect. This post explains why behavior change alone can feel like a constant battle, and how chronic nervous system activation drives compulsive phone use. Through a real client story, it shows how somatic work and the BAMBOO Method help the body feel safe offline, making digital wellness strategies sustainable rather than exhausting.
Digital burnout isn’t just mental, it lives in the body. Drawing on kinesiology, this post reveals the physical and nervous system patterns behind compulsive screen use, from chronic fight-or-flight to energy depletion. It explains why willpower-based tech boundaries often fail and introduces the BAMBOO Method, a somatic approach to building flexible, sustainable resilience especially for neurodivergent, high-performing leaders navigating constant digital demand.
If you’ve tried every digital wellness strategy and still feel restless, anxious, or unable to unplug, the problem isn’t your willpower—it’s your nervous system. In this powerful guest post, resilience coach Amanda Campbell shares how her recovery from paralysis revealed a deeper truth: your body must feel safe before it can disconnect. Through her BAMBOO Method and years of coaching burned-out leaders, she explains why strategies don’t stick and how real resilience begins in the body, not the mind.
