Adriana King’s work begins at the root — tracing how early attachment wounds, relational trauma, and abuse shape the patterns people find themselves repeating long into adulthood. A Registered Psychotherapist (RP) and Certified Trauma Integration Clinician with Board Certification in Neurofeedback (BCIA), Adriana draws on a wide clinical toolkit: EMDR, Internal Family Systems, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy, Infra-Low Frequency Neurofeedback, Comprehensive Resource Model, EFT, Pranic Healing, and Yoga for Trauma, among others. Her grounding in the neurobiology of trauma shapes how she applies each of these — not as isolated techniques, but as coordinated pathways toward better self-regulation across cognitive, emotional, and physical domains.
She works with teenagers, adults, and older adults navigating anxiety, depression, complex PTSD, childhood and developmental trauma, intimate partner violence, personality and mood disorders, and the pull of compulsive behaviours — including the same reward-seeking loops that surface in compulsive scrolling or online gambling when earlier pain goes unaddressed. Adriana is particularly focused on helping clients identify the deeper attachment disruptions driving self-harming patterns and unhealthy relational cycles.
Her approach is both rigorous and deeply human — informed by neuroscience, oriented toward the whole person, and driven by a commitment to helping clients build genuine self-acceptance and reclaim a life that feels worth living. Online sessions are available.
