Gretchen Savery

Healing starts where your real reasons are understood.

About Me

Gretchen Savery’s practice is built on a straightforward conviction: everyone has good reasons for being who they are, and with the right guidance, becoming who they want to be is possible. Working from Mississauga and available online, Gretchen draws on training in Systemic Intervention and Family Therapy alongside a range of therapeutic approaches, selecting what fits each person’s particular situation rather than applying a single framework to all. Her style is grounded in respect, sensitivity, and a genuine effort to understand not just where a client is, but where they’re coming from.

She works with children, teenagers, young adults, women, and families navigating challenges that include anxiety, depression, behavioural difficulties, school struggles, parenting questions, eating disorders, grief, life transitions, and the particular weight of blended or adoptive family dynamics. Children respond naturally to her; she has spent more than fifteen years learning how they communicate and what they need. She also finds real meaning in supporting parents through the developmental stages of their children’s lives.

For clients who arrive feeling perpetually reachable yet somehow unreached — scrolling through full feeds while the day quietly empties — Gretchen’s work creates room for the slower, more honest kind of conversation that actually shifts things. The goal, always, is to move from surviving a situation to building the skills that let someone genuinely flourish in it.
