Julianne Maslabey

Safe Harbour Psychotherapy

About Me

When someone finally picks up the phone or opens a new browser tab to search for a therapist, they are usually carrying something they have held alone for too long. Julianne Maslabey has spent thirty years meeting people at exactly that moment — individuals, couples, and families navigating crisis, loss, fractured relationships, and the quieter weight of anxiety or depression that accumulates over time.

Julianne works from a foundation of warmth and clinical depth, drawing on training in AEDP, EFT, Narrative Therapy, Systemic Family Therapy, and CBT. Her preferred approach for individual work is AEDP, an attachment and trauma-informed model she has been developing in since 2008. Rather than directing clients toward answers, she gently helps them hear their own inner voice — the instinct and resilience that stress tends to muffle. For couples, she uses Transformative Couples Therapy, a model she chose for its emphasis on rebuilding loving connection, including when conflict has migrated into silent scrolling and arguments that begin over a text message.

A Registered Psychotherapist holding a Master’s degree in Counselling, Julianne is based in Port Elgin, Ontario, and offers both in-person and online sessions. She works with adults facing depression, anxiety, trauma, OCD, separation, addiction, self-esteem struggles, parenting challenges, and family-of-origin wounds. Evening and Saturday appointments are available on request.
