What clients take away from working with Shanna Budzinsky is a clearer sense of their own strength — not handed to them, but uncovered together. Shanna is a Registered Psychotherapist based in Toronto who brings something uncommon to her practice: she has navigated her own path through trauma and addiction, and that lived experience shapes every session. She doesn’t position herself as the authority on someone else’s story; she shows up as a partner in making sense of it.
She works with individuals aged 14 and up, as well as couples, across a wide range of concerns — anxiety, addiction, trauma, relationship conflict, grief, burnout, and the particular exhaustion that comes when work follows you home through a screen and the boundary between on and off never quite closes. Her background in biological and medical sciences, combined with a diploma in Addiction Care Work and graduate training in psychotherapy, gives her a grounded, whole-person understanding of how emotional, physical, and relational health interconnect.
Shanna’s approach centres on curiosity and acceptance. Sessions are a space where authenticity is welcomed and exploration is the work. She offers a free 15-minute consultation and is currently accepting new clients. Online sessions are available throughout Ontario.
