I see real human connection as central to healing. My name is Elizabeth Allocca, and I practice as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in Fair Lawn, New Jersey, working with children, teens, adults and young adults.
I work with people facing anxiety, depression, trauma and life transitions, as well as those who feel overwhelmed. I also have a particular interest in grief, mood disorders, low self-esteem, and in mothers facing parenting pressures and relationship strain.
Cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) is part of my work. It can help clients question repeating thoughts, notice the links between what they think, feel and do, and work on anxiety and stress. I am trauma-informed, giving priority to safety and respect while looking gently at how past trauma bears on the present. My strength-based work names each client’s strengths and builds confidence. I offer sessions through online therapy, and the first meeting is a chance to learn about each other and shape a plan.
