Brigitte Diggins

About Me

With eighteen years of practice behind her, Brigitte Diggins has built her work around a simple conviction: that asking for help takes real courage, and that the people who find their way to her deserve to be met with honesty and without judgment. She works with adults and couples in Hamilton, Ontario, and online — helping them move through anxiety, depression, mood and adjustment difficulties, chronic illness, grief, relationship strain, and the particular exhaustion of careers that have stopped feeling livable.

Her approach is grounded in cognitive-behavioural therapy, though what drives it is something harder to reduce to a method. Brigitte is genuinely interested in each person’s account of their own life — including the gap many people feel between a phone full of contacts and a day that passes without anyone really knowing them. From that fuller picture, she works with clients to challenge the patterns that keep them stuck and build more honest ways of understanding themselves and their relationships.

Her measure of progress is practical: clearer thinking, steadier ground, and a sense that life is livable again. She believes the difficult periods, when faced directly, are where real change tends to begin.
