Many clients come to Cindy Hayen carrying a quiet weight they can’t quite name β a sense that life should feel more meaningful than it does, that their relationships aren’t as close as they’d like, or that sadness and anxiety have simply become the background noise of ordinary days. For some, that unease follows them everywhere, surfacing in the restless hours spent scrolling at night when sleep won’t come.
Cindy is a Registered Psychotherapist based in Aurora, Ontario, who works with individuals, couples, and families across a wide range of struggles β including anxiety, depression, trauma and abuse recovery, addiction, and the particular exhaustion of professional burnout. She offers both in-person and online sessions.
Her approach moves beyond symptom relief. Drawing on depth psychotherapy and a graduate foundation in Counselling Psychology from Pacifica Graduate Institute, Cindy looks for the deeper roots beneath a client’s presenting concerns β the formative patterns and experiences that keep people stuck. She works to create an environment that is warm, careful, and free of judgment, one where clients feel genuinely safe to examine what matters most to them. Suffering, in her view, can be a turning point. The question she holds with her clients is what they choose to do with it.
