Courtney Johnston

About Me

My name is Courtney, and I work with students, trauma survivors, and people navigating breakups, low self-esteem, depression, and anxiety. My approach is gentle and grounded, moving at a pace that makes room for you to actually feel what’s happening rather than just talking around it.

People often come to me after feeling stuck for a long time β€” disconnected from themselves, unsure of how to rebuild trust in their own instincts and responses. Together, we take a slow and steady approach: listening carefully, noticing what comes up in the body as well as the mind, and finding a way back to your own voice.

I use an integrative combination of Emotion-Focused Therapy, Internal Family Systems (IFS), Somatic Therapy, Prolonged Exposure, and Person-Centred techniques β€” always tailored to what fits you specifically, not applied as a formula. I’m trauma-informed and hold a CCTP-II certification. I offer longer-format sessions, which gives us the room to go at a genuine pace without feeling rushed.

My style is soulful and collaborative, and I’ll challenge you when it’s helpful β€” always with care. If you’d like to explore whether we’d work well together, a free 15-minute consultation is a good place to start.
