About Me

Craig Selinger is the founder and CEO of Themba Tutors, a NYC-based private practice providing personalized executive function coaching and academic tutoring. He specializes in supporting students of all ages—from elementary school to college and beyond—with ADHD, autism, and other neurodivergent profiles. With over 25 years of experience, Craig helps families navigate challenges related to organization, focus, time management, and school performance, fostering crucial academic skills for success.

Themba Tutors offers in-person services throughout the New York City metro area, including Brooklyn, Manhattan, Queens, the Bronx, Staten Island, Long Island, Westchester, New Jersey, and Connecticut. Remote executive function and academic coaching is also available to clients worldwide, making his expertise in neurodiversity-affirming education, learning disabilities support accessible internationally.

Craig holds a master’s degree from the University of Wisconsin–Madison. He brings a multidisciplinary, neurodiversity-affirming approach to his work, which includes reviewing neuropsychological evaluations, collaborating with therapists and school teams, and helping students build self-awareness and academic resilience. His practice is grounded in evidence-based strategies to support students with dyslexia, anxiety, working memory, and other learning challenges, promoting independence and lifelong learning skills.

He has been featured in publications like Healthline, Psych Central, and Business Insider. Craig also leads talks and workshops on executive functioning and learning differences.

Craig is passionate about empowering students and families with the right tools and support to thrive, building a foundation of confidence and academic success that extends well beyond the classroom. He believes every student can reach their full potential with a tailored, compassionate approach.
