Dani Minuskin

Healing through image, body, and careful curiosity.

About Me

Dani Minuskin brings together art therapy and trauma-informed counselling into a practice built for people whose experiences have been too layered, too painful, or too fragmented to approach through words alone. Working primarily with LGBTQIA+ adults, Dani supports individuals navigating the aftermath of abuse, anxiety, relational difficulties, and the kind of quiet disconnection from self that can be hard to name but easy to recognize — that sense that something remains unresolved despite years of self-reflection.

At the heart of Dani’s work is the belief that healing doesn’t have to happen through language. Using simple art materials alongside somatic-focused prompts, sessions create room for emotions, memories, and relational patterns to surface at a pace the nervous system can tolerate. When closeness in a relationship is quietly competing with the pull of a screen — one partner present, the other elsewhere — art-making can open a different kind of conversation. Talk therapy and creative work move fluidly together, always guided by pacing, consent, and what feels genuinely supportive.

Dani sees therapy as a collaborative process shaped by each person’s needs and capacity. Virtual sessions are available to clients across Canada.
