David Minor’s training spans cognitive behavioural therapy, emotion-focused family therapy, dialectical behaviour therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy, and specialized clinical work in gaming disorder and trauma β a range that reflects both the breadth and the depth he brings to each client. An RCC based in Vancouver, David works with teenagers, young adults, men, and women navigating anxiety, depression, addiction, relationship strain, and the kind of stubborn patterns that resist ordinary willpower.
His approach centres on practical, honest work: setting clear goals at the outset, using Socratic questioning to surface the assumptions that keep people stuck, and assigning between-session exercises that sustain momentum outside the therapy room. CBT forms the backbone of his method, but he draws on mindfulness and paced breathing to help clients build a steadier foundation from which to act. He also provides marriage and couples counselling, family therapy, parenting support, and faith-integrated counselling for those whose spirituality is central to their lives.
David’s aim is grounded self-esteem over performance β helping people appraise themselves clearly, challenge self-sabotage, and move forward with genuine confidence rather than borrowed motivation. Sessions are available in person in Vancouver and online.
