Edna Pereira

You already know what you're done feeling β€” that's where we start.

About Me

Edna Pereira brings to her Etobicoke practice a grounding in the full arc of human struggle β€” from the quiet weight of chronic low mood to the acute pain of crisis, from fractured family relationships to the slow erosion of self that professional burnout can cause. As a Registered Psychotherapist, she works across a wide range of needs: anxiety, depression, eating disorders, abuse recovery, workplace exhaustion, and the particular tensions that arise inside marriages, families, and co-parenting arrangements. She works with teenagers, adults, couples, and people in their later years, and offers online sessions for those who can’t make it in person.

Edna’s starting point is always the person in front of her, not a fixed agenda. Clients don’t need to arrive with a clear sense of what they want β€” knowing what they’re tired of feeling, or what they want less of in their lives, is enough to begin. That includes the specific ache of someone who messages friends all day yet ends every evening feeling completely unseen. From wherever a client stands, Edna builds the work collaboratively, drawing on cognitive-behavioural, solution-focused, meaning-centred, and existential approaches, adapting the mix to what each person genuinely needs.

Her goal is to walk alongside clients as they shed the patterns holding them back and move toward how they want to feel and who they want to become.
