My couples therapy is direct and compassionate. I am Elizabeth Scudder, a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in Red Bank, New Jersey, and I also work with individuals and families.

I work with partners on whatever is making a relationship difficult, and I am candid with each partner about their own part in what is not working. Each partner owns their part while building empathy for the other. I also do trauma work aimed at whatever stands in the way of a connection that is deeper and more meaningful.

My work centers on relationship issues, infidelity and betrayal, and marital and premarital concerns. Other topics include parenting, family-of-origin and attachment trauma, narcissism and codependency, intimacy and sex, blended families, separation and divorce, and financial conflict.
