Genesis Perez

Adults and seniors receive culturally responsive, affirming therapy from me in English and Spanish. I practice in Hayward, California, as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, and my name is Genesis Perez. Serving the Spanish-speaking community is a focus of my work.

I mainly use Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR), both of which are evidence-based and support psychological flexibility. I respect each client’s lived experience and approach the work with empathy. I take into account how mental health can be affected by oppressive and marginalizing systems, and I include this understanding in my work.

I work with trauma, anxiety, depression, life transitions and identity-related concerns, and I aim to make sessions feel safe and supportive.
