People carrying the weight of depression, anxiety, fractured relationships, trauma, or chronic illness often find their way to Ingrid Dresher β a Registered Psychotherapist based in Etobicoke, Ontario, with more than three decades of clinical experience. Her practice spans a wide range of ages and circumstances, from young adults navigating difficult transitions to couples in crisis to survivors of childhood abuse and domestic violence. She also works with new Canadians adjusting to life in a new culture, individuals managing grief and loss, and those confronting professional burnout.
Ingrid works with individuals, couples, and families β including LGBT couples and blended families β supporting them through separation, pre-marital counseling, co-parenting challenges, and the quieter erosions of love and intimacy. Her therapeutic orientation draws on Jungian and analytical psychotherapy, Transactional Analysis, Gestalt therapy, hypnosis, and mindfulness-based practices. She is pursuing certification in Accelerated Experiential Dynamic Psychotherapy (AEDP), an approach that integrates attachment theory with current neurobiological research.
At the core of her practice is a conviction that each person already holds the capacity for their own healing. Ingrid understands her role as one of accompaniment β helping clients locate and trust the wisdom they already carry. Sessions are available in person and online.
