There’s usually a moment β a relationship fraying at the edges, a career that no longer makes sense, a pattern with food or anxiety that keeps reasserting itself β when it becomes clear that going it alone isn’t working. That’s often when people find Jaime Saibil. A Registered Psychotherapist based in Toronto with 24 years of practice, Jaime works with individuals, couples, and families who are ready to understand not just what’s happening, but why β and what it will take to change it.
Her approach begins with genuine listening and a structured process of looking beneath the surface. She draws on CBT, emotion-focused therapy, and EMDR, exploring the attachment histories and emotional patterns β perfectionism, stress, low self-esteem β that quietly steer behaviour. She works with adults and teens navigating anxiety, eating disorders, burnout, relationship conflict, divorce, and career transitions. For many clients, the work also extends to quieter struggles: the cumulative exhaustion of a life that keeps pulling attention in every direction, making it hard to follow through on what actually matters.
Jaime holds a Master’s Degree in Counselling and Organizational/Industrial Psychology, consults with organizations, volunteers internationally with Kutana WEMA in Kenya, and is the author of Basketcase and Hungry Heart. She is a Registered Member of the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario and a Fellow of Massey College. Online sessions are available.
