With more than three decades of practice behind him, Jeff Packer brings a rare breadth of real-world clinical experience to his Oshawa-based psychotherapy work. He holds a Master of Social Work from the University of Toronto and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Sociology from York University, and has worked across settings that include a diabetes centre, a mental health centre, a family court clinic, and several community service organizations. That range of environments has shaped a practice built on genuine versatility rather than narrow specialization.
Jeff is a Registered Psychotherapist and member of the CRPO whose training spans marriage and family therapy, EMDR, trauma recovery, eating disorders, addictions, domestic violence, criminal rehabilitation, and more. He works with individuals, couples, families, and organizations — helping people navigate everything from anxiety and mood disorders to workplace burnout, abuse recovery, and the kind of low-grade dread that follows someone from their phone into their sleep. His work also extends to delivering mental health workshops, parenting programs, and professional training to organizations and post-secondary institutions across Canada.
Outside the office, Jeff coaches and plays soccer, and finds his own balance through camping, kayaking, hiking, and guitar — pursuits that quietly inform the grounded, practical perspective he brings to every client.
