Walking into a first session with Karla Lang, clients often find that the conversation moves quickly from surface to substance β she comes in with 20 years of practice and a wide range of tools, and she uses them fluidly, reading what each person needs in the room right now. That combination of depth and adaptability is central to how she works. Trained in CBT, EMDR, Flash Technique, EFT, EMAGO, Gottman Couples Therapy, Satir Transformational Systemic Therapy, and more, Karla builds sessions around the individual rather than fitting people into a fixed method.
She works with children as young as five through adults in their seventies, supporting individuals, couples, and families through anxiety, depression, trauma and its aftermath, spiritual crisis, parenting challenges, and the full arc of relationship β from reconciliation through to separation that protects everyone involved, including kids. When couples come in carrying conflict that began over a string of unanswered texts, or families where screens have quietly replaced dinner-table conversation, Karla brings that reality into the room without judgment.
Based in Port Elgin, Ontario, with online sessions available, Karla holds that every person already carries the capacity for change β therapy at its best is the thing that helps them reach it. She brings compassion, directness, and genuine creativity to every conversation.
