I am looking to work with people who feel ready for this kind of work. I am Katie Heeran, a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in Sherman Oaks, California. I want each client’s life to be meaningful by that client’s own definition.

When a client is unsure what they want, I hope therapy helps them work it out. When a client knows the goal but keeps meeting the same obstacles, I hope to help them grasp the meaning of those obstacles and handle them more effectively.

Depression, anxiety, poor self-esteem, trauma and relationship issues are difficulties I know from my professional work. My specialty is the parts of a person that have so far been unable to change. I am depth-oriented, and clients who want lighter work would probably be better matched with another therapist. People tell me I am non-judgmental and compassionate, and I challenge clients when needed.
