Lisa Bynoe-Stevens

Helping people hear themselves clearly again, whatever brought them in.

About Me

For Lisa Bynoe-Stevens, the work has always started in the same place: with the person in front of her. Rooted in nearly three decades of practice, her approach draws on a genuine attentiveness that supervisors, mentors, and clients have recognized from the beginning of her career — a natural capacity to sit with people in difficulty and help them find their footing again.

Lisa works with children, teenagers, young adults, couples, and families navigating a wide range of challenges. Whether someone is carrying the weight of anxiety, recovering from abuse, struggling with addiction, reckoning with a career crossroads, or trying to hold a blended family together, she brings both clinical grounding and a warmth that makes hard conversations possible. Her training spans play therapy, solution-focused practice, and spiritually integrated counselling, giving her a flexible toolkit she shapes to the individual rather than the other way around.

Based in Hamilton and offering online sessions, Lisa holds credentials in counselling through Tyndale University and advanced training in couple and family therapy. Her work is guided by a conviction that clarity and a renewed sense of self are within reach — and that no one should have to find their way there alone.
