Liz Rand

Healing and growing, pursued with curiosity and compassion.

About Me

Something feels stuck — or maybe it just feels heavy — and that’s usually what brings people to Liz Rand. Whether it’s anxiety that won’t quiet down, a relationship strained to its limits, a child struggling at school, or the creeping sense that work follows you everywhere now, even into the evenings that were supposed to be yours, Liz meets people exactly where those pressures land. She works with children, teenagers, adults, couples, and families navigating concerns that range from depression, ADD/ADHD, and self-esteem to parenting challenges, career transitions, and life-stage adjustments.

A Licensed Professional Counselor based in Fort Collins, Colorado, Liz draws on Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, existential therapy, play therapy, and experiential approaches — a toolkit shaped in part by years working in outdoor recreation before she entered mental health. That background gives her practice a distinctly hands-on, whole-person quality. She holds a Master of Arts in Community Counseling from Denver Seminary and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Clemson University, and she has worked across office, school, home, and community settings.

Liz sees counseling as genuinely collaborative — built on each person’s own strengths and experience, and guided by curiosity, connection, and compassion. She’s interested in the small, concrete steps that move someone from enduring a season to actually thriving in it. Online sessions are available.
