Monika Georgieva’s grounding in gerontology, health promotion, and her own experience of immigration shapes how she understands the people who come to her — each carrying a particular history, a particular set of pressures. That lived familiarity with navigating competing value systems and shifting senses of belonging informs her conviction that healing is never one-size-fits-all. A Registered Psychotherapist based in Toronto, she works with individuals, couples, and families across Ontario through her online practice.
She supports teenagers, adults, and older clients through a wide range of concerns: anxiety, grief, identity, anger, body image, co-dependency, relationship conflict, infidelity, divorce, and the slow work of caring for aging parents. For the families she sees, that can include the quieter tensions too — a teenager pulling away into her phone, a household where everyone is present but no one is quite together. Monika draws on Emotionally Focused, Solution-Focused, Narrative, and Dialogic therapies, working from a relational, strength-based, and anti-oppressive foundation.
Her aim in every session is straightforward: to offer an environment where clients feel genuinely heard, and where that experience of being heard becomes the ground for greater self-awareness, stronger relationships, and growth that is rooted in their own values.
