Samuel Skaist

Individuals, couples and adolescents see me in Ramsey, New Jersey, where I work as a Licensed Professional Counselor. I am Samuel (Shmuel) Skaist, and I meet with groups as well.

I specialize in relationship issues, sexual addiction and betrayal trauma. When sex addiction is the struggle, I offer help with facing a double life, reaching sobriety and healing underlying issues. I support partners of sex addicts as they work through betrayal trauma, and I work with both partners together as a couple.

Other concerns I work with are relationships, intimacy, parenting, life transitions, self-esteem, childhood trauma, traumatic events and anxiety. My approach is empathetic and individualized, and clients from every background are welcome. I teach skills aimed at a life that is more functional and more fulfilling, and I help clients identify their obstacles and ways to navigate them. I understand Yiddish and answer in English.
