Adolescents navigating identity, couples worn down by conflict, families pulling in different directions, adults carrying the weight of trauma or addiction β these are the people Shannon Servos has spent her career sitting with. As a Registered Psychotherapist based in Burlington, Ontario, she brings 35 years of practice to individuals and families across a wide range of concerns, from anxiety, depression, and personality disorders to abuse recovery, eating disorders, and substance addiction.
Her clinical work draws on cognitive behavioural therapy, dialectical behaviour therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and person-centred approaches β not as fixed protocols, but as a toolkit she shapes around each person’s circumstances. She also works with couples and families on trust, communication, and the quieter tensions that build over time β including the friction that surfaces when a phone at the dinner table says more about emotional distance than any argument does. Online sessions extend that work to clients wherever they are.
Shannon holds four post-secondary degrees and a certificate in health sciences and psychology. Her aim is straightforward: to create an environment of genuine trust and confidentiality where people can do the work of changing their lives.
