When people come to Stefan Pankiw, they are often carrying something they have been managing alone for too long — burnout that has quietly hollowed out their days, grief that keeps resurfacing, or anxiety that trails them from the moment they wake to the late-night scroll that makes sleep feel impossible. Stefan is a Registered Psychotherapist based in Mississauga, Ontario, with a decade of experience helping men, women, and older adults work through trauma, addiction, abuse, adjustment to major life changes, and crises of meaning and spirit.
His work draws on Person-Centered therapy as a foundation, woven together with Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Narrative Therapy, and Mindfulness practice. Each session is shaped around the individual in front of him — their particular story, their actual goals. Stefan has worked across hospital, healthcare, educational, and community settings, and brings that breadth to a practice that is both grounded and practical. Online sessions are available.
Stefan’s own life is oriented around simplicity, spiritual grounding, and time spent outdoors — values that inform how he works. He believes that slowing down and paying attention to what already exists around us is not a retreat from difficulty but a genuine response to it. His aim is for clients to leave with clearer thinking, steadier emotions, and real tools they can use.
