Tanya Beach

Self-compassion deepens when someone finally feels truly heard.

About Me

Tanya Beach holds that real change begins when people feel genuinely understood — not evaluated, not managed, but met where they actually are. As a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) based in Toronto, she works to build exactly that kind of grounded, non-judgmental presence, bringing warmth and curiosity to every conversation so that the harder, more vulnerable work has somewhere to land.

Her practice draws on attachment theory as its foundation, examining how early relationships continue to shape the way people experience emotions, connect with others, and understand themselves. From there, she weaves in Emotionally Focused approaches, Internal Family Systems, DBT, CBT, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and mindfulness-based self-compassion — adapting the blend to the person in front of her rather than fitting clients to a fixed method. Systemic and intersectional perspectives inform how she holds the broader forces that shape any individual’s experience.

Tanya works with adults, seniors, men, women, children, and teenagers navigating anxiety, trauma, burnout, relationship conflict, divorce, family issues, learning differences, ADHD, and life transitions, among other concerns. She offers individual, couples, and family therapy, welcomes youth aged ten and up, and provides a free fifteen-minute consultation to help prospective clients decide whether she is the right fit.
