Healing starts when you're met with curiosity, not judgment.

About Me

There’s usually a moment — a fight that didn’t resolve, a heaviness that won’t lift, a relationship that feels further away than it used to — when people reach out to Zahra Halfal. As a Registered Psychotherapist with nine years of clinical experience, Zahra works with individuals, couples, and families in Mississauga and online, supporting teenagers through to older adults navigating anxiety, depression, grief, relationship ruptures, trauma, and the quiet ache of feeling disconnected from themselves or the people they love.

Her therapeutic approach weaves together emotion-focused therapy, attachment and trauma-informed care, somatic awareness, and parts work rooted in Internal Family Systems — meaning sessions attend to both what’s being said and what the body is carrying. She’s particularly attuned to the small fractures that accumulate inside relationships: the conversation that gets deferred to a text thread instead of happening face to face, the way distance grows without anyone quite intending it. Her identity as a Muslim, Pakistani woman, wife, and mother shapes a practice that is culturally aware and genuinely welcoming of diverse faiths and backgrounds.

Zahra holds a Master’s in Marriage and Family Therapy and is registered with the CRPO. She brings warmth, sensitivity, and the occasional lightness to work that asks a lot of the people brave enough to show up for it.
