Most people contact Dr. Aaron Lautzenhiser when something has stopped them in their tracks — a difficulty they expected to have moved past by now, a new pressure they didn’t see coming, or a pattern they keep running into no matter how hard they try to change course. He works with children, teenagers, and adults facing anxiety, depression, learning difficulties, career uncertainty, family-of-origin challenges, and the particular exhaustion that comes from never quite being able to leave work behind — the notification that arrives at dinner, the task list that follows someone to bed.
Dr. Aaron is a Registered Psychologist based in Vancouver, BC, offering counselling, psychotherapy, and psychological assessment. His assessment work covers learning disabilities, ADHD, FASD, head injury, and related concerns, producing practical strategies for school, work, and daily life. He is also a certified practitioner of the Birkman Method, a structured assessment tool that helps individuals and families understand their own needs, behavioural patterns, and life direction. Online sessions are available.
Alongside his clinical psychology training, Dr. Aaron holds a Master’s degree in Theology, which informs his openness to questions of spirituality and faith. His aim is to see each person as a whole — and to help them move forward.
