Pamela MacDonald holds that lasting change rarely arrives as a sudden break from the past — it tends to emerge gradually, through honest self-examination, growing self-awareness, and the willingness to find meaning even in hard seasons. That conviction shapes every aspect of her clinical work. A Licensed Psychologist based in Miramichi, New Brunswick, Pamela completed her undergraduate honours degree in Psychology at Brock University and her Master’s in Counselling at the University of Calgary, where she also trained and practiced before establishing her current private practice.
Pamela works with adult men and women navigating anxiety disorders, personality disorders, alcohol and drug addictions, and the particular weight of professional burnout and career uncertainty. Her therapeutic approach draws primarily on cognitive-behavioural therapy, woven together with client-centred, solution-focused, and existential techniques as each person’s situation calls for. She also integrates Christian counselling and spiritual exploration for clients for whom faith is part of the picture.
Whether a client comes in for ongoing therapy or psychological assessment, Pamela’s aim is the same: to offer a grounded, respectful space where people feel genuinely understood and supported as they work toward the lives they want. Online sessions are available.
