Robert Clark

Resilience is a skill — and you can build it.

About Me

Robert Clark works with people who are carrying more than they feel equipped to handle — teenagers grinding through academic pressure while managing the pull of their social feeds, young adults navigating identity and anxiety, men and women wrestling with addiction, mood disorders, trauma, or the weight of simply trying to keep up. A Licensed Professional Counselor based in Dallas, Texas, Robert brings something to this work that most credentials cannot confer: he has sat in the patient’s chair himself. Diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia during college and given a thirty percent chance of survival, he came through chemotherapy and a bone marrow transplant with a firsthand understanding of suffering, human dignity, and what it actually takes to recover.

Robert’s practice, Resilience, is built on that conviction — that getting back up after a hard fall is a skill, one that can be learned and strengthened. He works primarily through Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, an evidence-based approach in which client and counselor collaborate toward concrete, client-defined goals. His training includes advanced coursework at the Beck Institute in Philadelphia, with focused study in depression, anxiety, PTSD, and schizophrenia. His aim is to transfer these tools to clients so they can eventually carry them forward on their own.

Robert offers individual and group counseling, with online sessions available for those who prefer to meet that way.
