Shelley Steele

Shelley Steele, M.Ed., ACC is an educator, executive coach, life coach, and founder of Steele Academy. Throughout her career, she has explored the intersection of learning, human development, connection, and personal growth.

She is the creator of RAYS™ (Recognize · Acknowledge · Yield · Support), a practical, conversation-based approach designed to strengthen real-world communication, confidence, and connection through meaningful in-person interaction. Recognizing the growing impact of digital overload and the decline of face-to-face engagement, Shelley developed RAYS to help people build the relationship skills that support trust, empathy, belonging, and healthy communication across generations.

At its heart, RAYS is about strengthening how we show up in everyday moments and interactions.

Shelley is also the creator of the Life Architect approach, which helps people navigate change, gain clarity, and intentionally build lives that reflect who they are becoming. Through courses, workshops, coaching, and learning experiences, she invites people to reconnect with what matters most, strengthen self-leadership, and become the architects of their own lives.

Her professional journey has included classroom teaching, teacher education through OISE at the University of Toronto, a fourteen-year chapter with TVOntario, executive coach training through the Rotman School of Management, and learning initiatives reaching communities nationally and internationally.

As an educator, storyteller, and entrepreneur, Shelley has spent much of her career creating opportunities for people to share their experiences and learn from one another.

She believes that learning is lifelong, connection matters, and that some of life’s most important growth begins when we step away from the screen and into conversation.
