Hi, I’m Tess. I offer compassionate and individualized psychotherapy to anyone who is curious about themselves and looking to make a change. I believe in the power of therapy to help you find clarity and meaning in your life. Whether you feel like you’re too much, not enough, or can’t figure out your place in the world, together, we can get to the heart of what is causing you distress. You don’t have to be alone with your pain. My goal is to provide a safe space for you to explore your experiences, feel your feelings, and gain insight into your unique existence.
I embrace a holistic understanding of individuals that goes beyond symptoms and diagnoses and includes the familial, cultural, societal, and structural systems that affect each of us. My approach to therapy is person-centered and psychodynamically oriented. Sessions are open, improvisational, and led by you.
Together we can work to understand your personal story, how you relate to others, and how your past may influence your present. In addition to traditional talk therapy, creative arts can be used to facilitate these processes and assist in the naming and experiencing of emotions.
