About Me

After getting diagnosed with ADHD at 44, and starting treatment, I turned to my love of learning and research to better understand how no one knew I had ADHD. Turns out, it’s pretty complicated, and there are lots of reasons that people, especially women, don’t get identified as kids and instead have to develop a myriad of coping skills. I’ve worked in higher education for the last 18 years, as an instructor at the community college and university level and as an Academic Coach for neurodivergent med students. I’ve a masters in education and am a certified ADA Coordinator. I bring 24 years of experience teaching and supporting learners who identify as neurodivergent, to help you better manage your symptoms. Together we’ll build routines, improve self-efficacy and to identify why certain tasks are so difficult. We’ll also develop strategies to make these tasks easier, in both the long and short term. We want to help you create a life that accurately represents your abilities and meets your goals. Shannon specializes in coaching neurodivergent learners and medical students, combining research, teaching experience, and practical strategies to build routines, reduce friction, and strengthen self-efficacy.
