Bharat Sharma’s practice is built around one conviction: that lasting change arrives gradually, like a slow breeze rather than a storm. Working from Edmonton and online across Canada, Bharat tailors every engagement to the individual in front of him — no two people carry the same story, and his approach reflects that. Drawing on Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Twelve Step Recovery, and strength-based, solution-focused methods, he helps clients move through what’s holding them back by first naming it, then challenging it.
Bharat works with teenagers, adults, and seniors navigating addiction, anxiety, depression, trauma, abuse, relationship breakdown, and the particular exhaustion that comes when the workday never fully ends — when notifications and work messages follow people home and the boundary between professional and personal quietly disappears. His counselling also covers career transitions, workplace conflict, burnout, and family and couples issues, including domestic violence and separation.
He brings the same depth to each area: an in-depth, empathetic process that asks clients to genuinely experience their emotions — present and past — rather than bypass them. Counselling, in Bharat’s view, is not a quick fix but a committed process that surfaces real strengths and makes meaningful, durable change possible.
