Mark Walters

Helping people move from feeling trapped to making real choices

About Me

Mark Walters believes that people come to counselling not because they are broken, but because something that once held them together has stopped working. Whether that is a relationship slowly worn down by unspoken resentment, a family struggling to find each other across the noise of daily life—arguments that begin in person and finish over text, evenings where everyone is in the same room but no one is really present—or a sudden crisis that strips away any sense of solid footing, Mark’s work centres on helping people understand what their patterns are and where those patterns came from.

Based in Abbotsford, BC, and available online, Mark is a Registered Clinical Counsellor (RCC) who works with children, teenagers, adults, couples, and families navigating anxiety, depression, grief, trauma, anger, identity, and conflict. His graduate training in Marriage and Family Therapy at Trinity Western University shaped a practice that pays close attention to the relational systems people live inside—and how those systems can trap or free them.

Mark’s first priority with any client is to ensure they feel genuinely heard. From there, the work is about moving from stuck to choosing—learning to set real boundaries, carry loss without being undone by it, and build connections that reflect who someone actually is. Initial consultations are offered free of charge.
