What clients walk away with is a clearer sense of what actually matters to them β and practical footing for getting there. Sean Lewis is a Canadian Certified Counsellor based in Colwood, BC, who works with adults carrying anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, burnout, and the family patterns that were handed to them long before they had a say. That includes the father who realizes his short fuse is lighting up every time a device pulls his kid’s attention away from a conversation worth having. The work is direct. The language fits real life.
Lewis came to counselling through work that didn’t allow for vague answers: infantry service, a plumbing trade, and eight years in pastoral ministry, six leading The Mustard Seed Street Church in Victoria. Those years shaped how he listens and how he speaks in sessions. His primary clinical approach is Acceptance and Commitment Therapy β a research-supported evolution of CBT β drawing in mindfulness, narrative therapy, solution-focused methods, and family systems work as the situation calls for them.
Faith and meaning are welcome in the room for clients who want them integrated, not sidelined. Sessions are available in person on the Westshore and online across British Columbia.
