What clients carry out of their work with Sera Kazmi is a steadier sense of self β clearer thinking, more manageable emotions, and the practical tools to move through daily life without being derailed by worry, shame, or overwhelm. A Registered Social Worker holding a Master’s in Social Work in Mental Health, an MBA, and a Diploma in Art Therapy, Sera brings a rare breadth of training to her practice, including certification in Trauma-Focused CBT, cognitive behavioural therapy through the Beck Institute, and experience supporting survivors of abuse, sexual assault, and human trafficking.
She works with children and adults navigating anxiety, depression, OCD, stress, trauma, identity, attachment, low self-esteem, and difficulties in relationships β including family conflict, communication between partners, and the particular strains of major life transitions like career change. Sessions are conducted online and are available in English, Hindi, and Urdu.
Sera draws from narrative therapy, emotion-focused therapy, mindfulness, and motivational interviewing, always within a framework that is strength-based, anti-oppressive, and culturally sensitive. Her aim is not to direct but to walk alongside β helping each person build resilience, find belonging, and reclaim a sense of control over their own story.
