Patrick Neeser

Sobriety is possible; awareness and honest support make it last.

About Me

Addiction is where Patrick Neeser’s work begins — and for thirty years, it has anchored everything else. A Licensed Clinical Social Worker based in Nampa, Idaho, he works with people across the full arc of substance-related struggle: those just beginning to wonder whether their drinking or drug use is a problem, those urged by a loved one to look closer, and those rebuilding after formal treatment. He treats people in early recovery with the conviction that lasting sobriety is genuinely possible, integrating twelve-step philosophy into a broader framework of awareness and sustained support.

His practice extends to the families and partners caught in the wake of someone else’s use, with particular skill for couples navigating what substance misuse does to a relationship — whether the person using is in the room or not. He also works with anxiety, depression, PTSD, grief, and the long reach of childhood trauma. For many clients, the work starts with telling their story: a full social history that helps Patrick understand what shaped their current difficulties. He has noticed that chronic sleep disruption and an inability to power down at day’s end often arrive alongside the symptoms his clients describe — overlooked signs of a nervous system running past its limits.

Patrick offers in-person and online sessions and welcomes inquiries.
