Danielle Renaud

Proven techniques, applied where families actually need them.

About Me

When a child’s behaviour becomes a daily crisis β€” meltdowns that derail the household, school refusals that nobody can explain, family tensions that keep escalating β€” parents often arrive at Danielle Renaud’s door exhausted and out of ideas. Danielle works with families navigating exactly these moments, bringing a rare combination of clinical counselling, education, and deep specialisation in learning, behavioural, and developmental challenges, including autism spectrum disorder.

Her academic grounding is unusually broad: a Doctorate in Education, a Master’s in Educational Psychology and Special Education, and undergraduate degrees in both Education and Psychology. That foundation shapes a practice built on ABA and CBT techniques β€” methods with a strong evidence base for the children and families she serves. She sees families in her West Kelowna office and via Zoom, consults in schools, and facilitates intensive family intervention sessions. She also leads workshops for parents, teachers, and professionals, and provides leadership development for organisations.

Beyond family work, Danielle supports individuals managing eating disorders and personal regulation β€” including parents whose own stress load has become unmanageable, sometimes because work follows them into every room and every hour. As a Registered Clinical Counsellor (RCC) with over three decades of counselling, teaching, and consulting experience, she brings both rigour and practical know-how to every session.
