Dr Lyane Trepanier

Insight first, so your next step is actually yours.

About Me

Adults navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, or the quiet weight of feeling unseen — even while perpetually reachable — are at the centre of Dr. Lyane Trepanier’s practice. A Registered Psychologist based in Pointe-Claire, Quebec, she works with individuals from adolescence through older adulthood, as well as couples, drawing on more than fifteen years of clinical experience across hospital psychiatry settings and private practice.

Her approach is deliberately eclectic: she selects from evidence-based modalities — including CBT, ACT, EMDR, and Narrative Therapy — based on what each client actually needs rather than a fixed method. For couples, she is trained in the Gottman Method, grounding that work in decades of research on how partners communicate, repair, and find shared footing. The throughline across all her work is insight: understanding the roots of where a person finds themselves, so that their next choices can be made with greater clarity and intention.

Before her graduate training — a Master’s in Psychiatric Research from Université de Montréal and a PhD in Psychology from McGill — Dr. Trepanier spent years in business communications and sales. That background informs her consulting and workshop work with organizations on stress and workplace wellbeing, and gives her clinical lens a grounded, real-world quality that clients in professional life tend to recognize immediately.
