With a master’s degree in counseling and credentials that span anger management, marriage enrichment, and body-focused repetitive behaviors, Edith Cotton brings a carefully built set of specializations to her practice in Red Oak, Texas. She is a National Anger Management Association Certified Anger Management Specialist-II, a Prepare/Enrich Facilitator, a Healthy Marriage Program service provider, and holds TLC Foundation training in the treatment of BFRBs β each credential chosen to serve a specific, real need she sees in the people who come to her.
Edith works with individuals, couples, and families navigating anger, anxiety and panic attacks, depression, grief, self-esteem, trauma, infidelity, and compulsive behaviors like trichotillomania and skin-picking. When a client finds themselves endlessly scrolling instead of following through on what matters β that drift away from intention and toward distraction β she helps them examine the patterns underneath and rebuild the capacity to act on their own priorities. Using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy alongside a faith-based framework, she draws on ComB, Habit Reversal Training, and the Prepare/Enrich assessment to tailor treatment to each person’s situation. Online sessions are available.
Her mission, in her own words, is to glorify God by offering a comfortable, caring environment where clients can grow in awareness and move toward lasting change.
