About Me

Katie Dysart came to registered social work with a clear conviction: that lasting change requires more than symptom relief — it requires understanding what’s actually underneath. Based in Etobicoke and working virtually with clients across Ontario, she works with men and women navigating anxiety, burnout, self-esteem struggles, abandonment, boundary difficulties, and the relationship patterns that keep repeating themselves.

Her approach draws from CBT, IFS, mindfulness, and narrative therapy, woven together and shaped around each person rather than applied from a script. She pays particular attention to the ways that chronic stress settles into the body — the person who can’t stop scrolling at midnight and calls it relaxing, when what their nervous system actually needs is genuine rest, not more input. That kind of stuck loop, whether it shows up as exhaustion, disconnection, or an inability to slow down, is exactly the terrain she works in.

Clients tend to describe Katie as warm, grounding, and easy to be honest with. She brings directness and the occasional dose of humour into sessions, because she believes the work lands better when it feels like a real conversation. Free 15-minute consultations are available at connectthepath.ca.
