Whole-person care sits at the center of everything Kiersten Carley does. As a Licensed Professional Counselor in Stevens Point, Wisconsin, she brings a compassionate, strength-based perspective to the full range of human struggle — from the weight of trauma and mood disorders to the quieter friction of parenting stress, professional burnout, and family-of-origin wounds that resurface unexpectedly. For many of her clients, that friction shows up in concrete ways: the anxiety that spikes with late-night phone scrolling, or the sense that the workday never truly ends when the inbox stays open until midnight.
Kiersten works with children, adolescents, young adults, men, women, and older adults, helping them move through trauma, abuse, eating disorders, anxiety, depression, and the adjustments life sometimes forces. Her practice draws on a wide toolkit — Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART), CBT, DBT, Solution-Focused Therapy, Play Therapy, Art Therapy, and biofeedback through HeartMath emWave® technology, among others. ART, in particular, uses guided eye movements to process distressing memories efficiently, and is recognized by SAMHSA’s National Registry of Evidence-Based Programs and Practices.
Her background as a former foster parent deepens her work with foster families, and her longstanding passion for the arts informs her creative, adaptable approach to each client. Kiersten offers both in-person and online sessions, and is a member of the American Counseling Association.
