Something isn’t working β and Lisa Marie Raines has built her practice around the moment people finally name it. Whether it’s a marriage fraying under the weight of unspoken grievances, a teenager whose fear or anger has begun to take over the household, or an adult still carrying the effects of old trauma through every new relationship, clients arrive at ACTS Therapy knowing something needs to change but not yet seeing how. That includes the quieter forms of distress: the anxiety that spikes at midnight when notifications pull a person back to everything they were trying to leave behind for the day.
An LMFT licensed in Minnesota, Raines works with children, adolescents, adults, couples, and families across a broad range of concerns β trauma and PTSD, depression, anxiety, abuse recovery, family conflict, and the particular challenges that come with divorce and co-parenting. Her clinical training at Adler Graduate School is deepened by certification in EMDR, an approach she uses to help clients process painful memories so those memories lose their grip on daily life.
Her orientation is fundamentally collaborative. She listens closely to where a person is right now, and to where they want to go β then helps them find, within their own history and character, the strengths to get there. Sessions are available in person in the Shakopee area and via secure telehealth.
