Lloyd Lee

Understanding yourself more truthfully, so choices come from clearer ground.

About Me

Most people who find Lloyd Lee do so at a particular kind of threshold β€” not necessarily in crisis, but aware that something inside no longer lines up with the life they’ve been living. He works with individuals navigating anxiety, depression, addiction, professional burnout, and the quiet difficulty of carrying questions about identity, belonging, and meaning without anyone to bring them to.

Lloyd came to counselling through fourteen years working as a lawyer, a pastor, and a counsellor in Vancouver’s Downtown Eastside β€” contexts that required him to sit with people at their most complicated. As a second-generation Chinese-Scottish Canadian, he knows from the inside what it is to live between cultures and expectations. That history informs how he listens, how he holds difficulty, and why he takes seriously the parts of a person that developed to cope and protect. He’s also attentive to the way that drifting through feeds and notifications can quietly erode a person’s ability to follow through on what actually matters to them β€” a particular kind of fragmentation he sees show up in the therapy room.

His approach is collaborative and unhurried, drawing on emotionally focused and parts-based work, with attention to the earliest relational patterns that quietly govern present life. He works with people across a wide range of relationships to faith, and holds a Master of Theology alongside his RCC designation. Online sessions are available throughout British Columbia.
