Melody Evans

Healing is possible — and so are healthier relationships.

About Me

Can’t We Just Get Along Counselling — the name alone signals what Melody Evans believes: that relational struggle is universal, and that working through it is possible. Her Calgary-based practice offers psychotherapy to individuals, couples, families, and teens, drawing on modalities including EMDR and the Gottman Method to address trauma, relationship conflict, and the full range of challenges that shape a person’s emotional life. For clients carrying the weight of a job that never quite ends — the late message that pulls them back to work mode, the inbox that follows them to bed — she brings that same relational and psychological lens to bear on what that constant availability costs them and the people around them.

A Registered Psychologist and Registered Marriage and Family Therapist, Melody holds advanced certification in EMDR through EMDRIA and serves as an Approved Consultant, providing supervision to provisional psychologists working toward licensure. She works with people navigating trauma, abuse, addiction, mood and anxiety disorders, grief, infidelity, career burnout, and family conflict — meeting each client where they are rather than applying a single framework.

Her practice is built on the conviction that healing is available to everyone. Compassion and clinical rigor aren’t in tension for Melody; they’re the same thing.
