When someone finally reaches out to Michele Dolan, they have usually been carrying something heavy for a long time — a relationship that left them hollowed out, anxiety that won’t let up, depression that makes the future look blank, or a past they haven’t been able to move beyond. Michele is a Registered Clinical Counsellor based in Sidney, British Columbia, who works with women navigating relationship trauma, mood and depressive disorders, anxiety, abuse recovery, and addiction.
Her practice draws on Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, and Cognitive Processing Therapy, always shaped to the individual in front of her. She also knows that the body keeps score: when a mind is already overstimulated — scrolling through conflict, replaying difficult moments at midnight — the mindfulness and body-awareness work she teaches gives the nervous system somewhere else to land. She has lived through depression, anxiety, addiction, and the slow work of rebuilding self-worth, and that experience shapes how she listens and what she believes is possible for the people she works with.
Michele describes her role plainly: she throws down the tools, helps build the plan, and walks alongside clients as they climb out. Online sessions are available.
