About Me

With graduate training in Counselling Psychology from the University of British Columbia — where she also worked as a teaching and research assistant — Alexia Brown brings both academic grounding and extensive hands-on experience to her Vancouver practice. She has spent years running professional workshops, training other counselors, and working directly with individuals, couples, and families across a wide range of concerns.

Alexia works with women and older adults navigating grief, depression, anxiety, anger, addiction, abuse, career transitions, burnout, and relationship strain — including the kind of low-grade stress that follows people home through a phone that never stops buzzing. Her approach is collaborative by design: she moves between leading and following depending on what the moment calls for, always oriented toward helping clients understand their own emotional patterns and what they genuinely need across physical, relational, mental, and occupational dimensions of life.

In marriage, family, and parenting work, she emphasizes attachment and conscious choice over quick fixes. In career development, she replaces standardized testing with guided self-inquiry, helping clients uncover their real inclinations. Sessions are available online throughout British Columbia.
