Betty Tilley holds to a simple conviction: that meaningful change begins when people are met with genuine respect and helped to recognize what they already carry within themselves. A Registered Clinical Social Worker based in Corner Brook, Newfoundland, Betty has spent 35 years walking alongside clients through some of life’s most demanding passages — from early childhood through the later years.
Her practice draws on Cognitive Behavioural Therapy to help people make sense of what they are experiencing and build practical strategies that move them forward. She works with children, adolescents, and adults facing anxiety, depression, grief, trauma, and anger, as well as those navigating divorce, blended family life, workplace stress, and career transitions. Crisis intervention, assessment, and counselling within Employee Assistance Programs are also central to her work.
Betty’s approach is patient and client-centered, keeping the person’s own strengths at the forefront rather than the presenting problem alone. Sessions are available in person and online, welcoming individuals and families across a wide range of backgrounds and circumstances.
